The CS Exam is conducted twice in a year – June and December. Here we are providing CS Executive Exam Eligibility Criteria for those whose passed foundation exam and other details.
Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduates of all streams except Fine Arts. Candidates who have passed the Foundation examination or are eligible for exemption therefrom and are not less than 17 years of age may seek registration as a student for the Executive Programme. Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the year. Examinations are held twice a year in June & December.
The deadlines for Registrations on any level of Company Secretary exams are
- 28th February for appearing in both modules in December Exams in the same year year
- 31st May for appearing in single module in December Examination in the same year
- 31st August for appearing in both modules in June Exam in the next year
- 30th November for appearing in single module in June Examination in the next year.
irect Entry in CS Executive Programme
CS Executive Exam Eligibility Criteria – If you have passed the entrance exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) then you are eligible to take direct entry in Executive Programme of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Thus, in addition to the students having graduation degree i.e. B.A. / B. Sc. / B. Com / Graduates of any discipline (excluding Fine Arts), any applicants who have passed Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of ICAI or Foundation Examination of IC<AI (erstwhile ICWAI) may now get direct admission in Executive Programme of ICSI. Earlier only CA/CMA final passed students were entitled to take direct registration in CS Executive Programme.
Further, the CS Institute has also relaxed candidates who have passed in the examination conducted by any other accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as equivalent of CA CPT by the Council of the ICSI are exempted from passing the Foundation Programme examination. Such students may directly seek registration to the Executive Programme stage of CS Course.

Future aspirants for the Company secretary course need to get first registered with the ICSI. The last date for registration for CS executive June 2021 was January 31, 2021. Candidates that are registered with the institute can proceed to fill the CS executive exam form. This will allow them to appear in the upcoming session of the CS executive 2021 exam.
Candidates can register for the CS Executive 2021 by following the steps given below
Step 1- Visit the ICSI website and open ‘Online Services’. Select ‘Register for CS course’ or ‘Registration for CSEET passed students for executive programme’ by clicking here.
Step 2- Keep the soft copy of required documents ready before clicking on ‘Proceed to Registration’.
Step 3- Select the ‘New Registration’ option if it is your first registration attempt or select ‘Incomplete Registration’ if you need to complete a registration from an earlier attempt.
Step 4- Fill the ‘Basic information’ columns with details including your applied programme, qualification, name, date of birth, phone number, email address and address details.
Step 5- Click on the ‘Next’ button after filling in all the details. A unique registration ID will be generated which will be sent to the applicant on their registered mobile number/ mail. Note the registration ID for future use.
Step 6- Fill in your educational qualifications such as the name of school/ college, year of passing out, name of subjects, etc in the ‘Education Details’ tab
Step 7- Click on the ‘Next’ button and complete the ‘Document Details’ tab by uploading the mandatory documents. Documents include a photograph, signature, mark sheet, category certificate, ID proof, etc. Candidates should take care of the size of the document which should not exceed 5MB. The format should be in jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp or pdf. A photograph can be 20-50 KB in size while a signature can be 10-20 KB.
Step 8- Click on the ‘Next’ button and preview the information filled in the registration form. If you are satisfied with the preview, click on ‘Confirm Application’.
Step 9- Pay the CS executive registration fees as the final ‘Payment’ step. This is the final step of the CS executive registration. Candidates can choose their preferred mode of payment. A transaction ID will be generated which should be noted down for future records.
